Designer Spotlight: Barrie Benson

Just take a look for yourself...

Uploading multiple images, each worthy of their own post... I typically categorize that as a faux pas.  However I had to make a exception, because I could not choose just one image from Barrie Benson's portfolio.  You can see the consideration the designer paid to the architecture of each home and the clients personal style.  It appears that Ms. Benson did not swoop in and insist the client start from scratch.  She layered each space with her signature stamp resulting in approachable and chic rooms that balance traditional and modern elements. Bravo,Ms. Benson! Bravo!

Christmas, Now and Then

I love how history repeats itself in every aspect of life.  Just look at the similarities of these images printed nearly 60 years apart.

On The Scent

Ever since Jo Malone discontinued "my" scent (honeysuckle jasmine) I've been on the hunt for a replacement.  While in Capri, I purchased a bottle of Carthusia Lady.  It's an absolutely lovely aroma, but does not suit me for daily use.  This past weekend I found my everyday scent.  It is subtle yet sexy.  Santa, add Jo Malone's Pomegranate Noir to the wish list!

Christmas Covet List

My entire family is under the false assumption that I am difficult to shop for.  This very blog is a living testament to the thousands of goods I dream of.  While some items may fall under the "indulgent" category, I can assure you not everything I want is followed by multiple zeros.  The frosting on the "Christmas morning cake" would include any of the following.  Wink Wink Santa.

Holiday Room of the Day

I am OBSESSED with the holiday season.  What does that mean?  Brace yourself for Christmas image overload during the month of December.

Today I am obsessed with this citrus Christmas tree by the fabulous Tobi Fairley.  Those chairs are CDJ worthy as well!
