On The Lanai

It's as if O'Brien Ironworks tapped into my soul.  (Is that statement a bit extreme?)

Any combination of this Chinoiserie outdoor furniture is perfectly suited for my dream home; whether it's benches flanking a walkway, a cocktail and dinner arrangement under a covered porch, or chaises and daybeds poolside.  To view any images I neglected to include and the variety of color options click here.

Cheers!

In lieu of Wednesday Giveaways, I am donating money to the March of Dimes in memory of a beautiful angel  named Taylor and in honor of the strongest little lady I know, Mary Margret.

If you would like to give click HERE.

Please leave a comment regarding your prayers, donation, personal stories or warm thoughts.  It would mean so much to the girls' parents.

The Perfect Beach House

I. AM. SPEECHLESS.

Where does one start?  The magnificent draped porch? The exquisite windows and doors? The oceanfront view?  The only thing that comes to mind: "The vacation home I never knew I always wanted."

Architect Robert A. M. Stern was commissioned to design "a house that would become an icon."  Bravo Mr. Stern. Bravo.  This is pure speculation, but I assume your clients are pleased.  Take a moment to soak in the impeccable details and dazzling mill work.

Ceilings!

Sliding doors I could live with.

More marvelous molding!

Everything, floor to ceiling and in between, was considered.

The perfect sleeping porch.

Naturally this nook is tucked in this home.

Allow me to apologize for the lack of narrative. I find myself in an unusual position of being succinct.

Tie a string around your finger reminding yourself to enter the Etsy/Studio Tullia pillow giveaway!

Cheers!

Wheels Up

My bags are not packed.  I am no where near ready to go.  Regardless, I am leaving on a puddle jumper -in less than 24 hours.  Somewhere on a Mayan Riviera beach there is a margarita with my name on it.

Now don't worry your pretty little head.  Because of a nifty "schedule" feature, the CDJ Wednesdays Giveaway details will post first thing tomorrow morning!  Mark your calender because it's a good one!  I promise.

Cheers!

Lovin'

My Covet du Jours.

This collage, by Jan Eleni, is genius!  It's the perfect way to blend your two selves: mom and decorator.

I am a sailboat kind of girl, but my tune would change if this yacht, Prometej, was my (motor) vessel.

Seriously!!!
These photographs are by the talented Douglas Friedman.  To view his portfolio click here.

So clever and cute - a book dock charger for an iPhone or iPad, by Rich Neeley Designs.

One of my dreams is to publish a book.  My kids like my stores and poems, but accompanying illustrations would capture their attention.  DC based artist Becca Kallem works with many mediums, but her animal illustrations are my favorite.  Her charming and whimsical use of pencil and watercolor would bring my characters to life, exactly as I imagined them.  (Well, her work is even better than I could envision.)

To view more of these delightful creatures or adopt one as your own, visit her Etsy shop
by clicking here

See you Monday to announce the winner of the giveaway!

Cheers!
Elizabeth
