Lately I am lusting after anything blush. Now that my living room chairs are recovered and I've selected a fabric for the ottoman, I think luscious, silk, blush-colored drapes are in order. (Wall color TBD.) Below is some of my inspiration.
Life is all about choices and balance. That's why I've been MIA. Writing this blog brings me such joy, so I can state, without a shadow of a doubt, I will be back full time once my plate has more space.
In the meantime... You know I love a good quote. Here are some that keep me going.
Perhaps it was the morning field trip to the aviation museum or my everyday demeanor ... but my head is in the clouds. No longer is luxury design confined to the ground. Illustrious fashion houses, such asVersaceand Hermes, have taken aircraft interiors to new heights.
Such extravagance seems frivolous; especially when one considers the abundance of poverty, social injustices, and health crises plaguing humankind. That being said, each person on Earth, regardless of economic status, deserves a home or space that, as Oprah eloquently stated, "rise(s) up to meet you."
I am not suggesting Hermes helicopters for all; simply that everyone deserves a safe space that is a reflection of one's self.
Most of my content is utterly ridiculous and unattainable to 99% of the population. However, my "CDJ's" offer me inspiration, stretch my imagination, and make me smile. I hope they do the same for you.
“Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.” ~Theodore Roosevelt
“If most of us are ashamed of shabby clothes and shoddy furniture, let us be more ashamed of shabby ideas and shoddy philosophies... It would be a sad situation if the wrapper were better than the meat wrapped inside it.” ~Albert Einstein
While it appears I've fallen off the face of the earth, I can assure you the opposite is true: life is moving at warp speed. Lately stress monopolizes my Covet du Jours, yet I am hopeful the near future holds lots of exciting opportunities.
