Limed floors

White/light painted floors are an unattainable dream for me.  With a dog and 2 kids the floors would be ruined in five minutes.  I just adore how light floors brighten a space.
Always on a quest to find some variation of what I want, I thought maybe limed floors could offer me the look without the worry and maintenance?
