Checking In

I apologize for being MIA.  Once I recovered from the jet lag I discovered my PC is very ill.  Meetings, back to school, kids' activities, projects around the house and planning a 5 year old birthday party are occupying all my time.  Just wanted to check in and share two inspiring spaces.

Cobalt blue seems to be my color of the moment.

Maybe I will paint our powder room this amazing hue... (Benjamin Moore's Champion Cobalt)

Over the last year I've worked on pulling my dining room together.  Major delays with furniture delivery, damaged goods and constant second guessing (myself) contributed to this prolonged project.  Recently I came across the this room which incorporates all I envisioned.

My walls and drapes are already creamy white (although my window treatments lack the amazing inverted pleats with fuchsia background). I have the pinkish-red art thing going on and most of my furniture is a variation of white.  The issue: what color to paint the existing black table and chairs?  A glass table or Lucite chairs would be killers, but that's not in the cards.  I am thinking of creamy white for the table and bright white for the chairs.... thoughts???  What this space truly ignited is a hunt for seat cushion fabric in the prefect bold floral print.

Cheers!
Elizabeth

  1. Hi Elizabeth! Thanks so much for giving a shout out to my cobalt dining room. I must say, I enjoy looking at it every day! And your pink inspiration for your dining room is beautiful. Have a great Monday!

  2. Creamy white paint is very easy to the eyes, and it goes well with other soft colored paints. What's more, that paint can make any room bright and young. I also love the flower details, like the floral pink printed cushions and the framed flower paintings. Everything looks matched and coordinated.
