Etsy Find: Chippendale Tables

If you've followed Covet du Jour since the first post back in February, it's obvious that I am a Mary McDonald admirer. Her office was inspiration for that inaugural post.  I found a pair of side tables on Etsy that evoke the same joy in me as Ms. McDonald's desk.

Under the glass on Mary McDonald's Desk there is amazing fretwork detailing.

Perfect pair of tables to act as a coffee table in my "new" family room or for my imaginary beach house...

Are you as excited as I am for the premier of Million Dollar Decorators on May 31st?

Cheers!

MMC Giveaway!!

My best friend and fellow redhead, Megan Meade Clifford, is a talented artist and graphic designer who's been drawing on everything, including her bedroom walls, since she was a child.  She has an amazing ability to draw people, which in my opinion, are the most difficult subjects to capture.  Her work, much like her, is colorful, witty and unique.

Pencil sketch of my son

"Holding Hands"
This would be so cute for a "Save the Date".  (Custom colors available)

"Mother and Child"
I have this in the nursery.  So sweet! (custom color available)

"Lions in Love"
(custom colors available)

Logo designed by Megan Clifford

Megan has graciously offered her services to one lucky CDJ reader.  The winner can work with her to create a custom silhouette image.  You can select a traditional silhouette or design one with a personalized pattern.  All you have to do is e-mail her a profile photograph of the person.  Once you decide on a color, pattern, etc. and the work is complete, she will email you the image.

Enter for a chance to win before her Etsy shop opens and there's a wait list!

Casual Friday: Etsy Art

Don't you just love Etsy?  It's so easy to get caught up in a seemingly never ending treasure hunt.  Then you glance at your watch and realize two and a half hours have passed.  Well ladies, I have saved you the trouble... today's CDJ - Etsy Art.

Color me happy!  I want to create a mischievous little heroine and she can live in a world among these cheerful watercolor interiors.  (By Kerri Shipp - Driftwood Interiors)

These chinoiserie prints would be the perfect addition to a teen's bedroom:

                                                      Coral Pagoda on Turquoise Giclee

The charming work by Ann Harwell may be to blame if a chair or two in the CDJ household should happen to be re-upholstered in the near future.

The wistful oil paintings from Janet Hill Studio transport you to a carefree and enchanting place.

The work from Swan Bones Theater is hauntingly beautiful.  The artist, Kelly Louise Judd, might consider illustrating a children's book - perhaps a book of fairy tales...

Daydreaming - what a pleasant way to embark on a three day weekend...

Cheers!
